Twice a week I randomly generate two dates and then compare the titles I own from both of them, trying to find some covers that, with a little basic photoshopping, I can mash together, and then I force the results on you lovely people.
By the way, I admit to being HUGELY influenced by the wonderful Super-Team Family blog which has been doing this for years (and a lot better) on an almost daily basis.
Kate Spencer’s Manhunter . . . whatever happened to her, eh? Damn fine character, great stories which sorted out the needlessly convoluted backstory and various versions of the Manhunter titles, and then she got tossed aside.

Not bad, not bad at all. I think the fact that she was written intelligently and wasn’t dressed up like some scantly-clad piece of eye candy didn’t help her case at all. I don’t like to say men/higher-ups were intimidated by her intelligence and class, but maybe in this situation it’s true. She was kinda like the female Daredevil, except she was a DA/Prosecutor and not a defense attorney. And she had a kid, and she was cool with killing if need be right?

Yeah, she was a damn fine character for all those reasons – one of the few instances where fan outcry bought a title a reprieve even though it was only another six or so issues.
