Untold Tales Behind The Scenes

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these but as I was preparing a new Untold Tales for several months ahead (seriously, it’ll be posted in November!) I thought I’d share a little reconstruction that I had to do in order to make the character, Nemesis, useable.

When preparing the images, in most cases I’m essentially cutting the characters out and putting them together with either a new background (and those backgrounds have become so much easier since I started using Edge’s in built AI tool) or into an existing cover. Sometimes I’ll need to recreate part of a character, often a foot or a hand that is obscured in the original but in the new one is now visible. I’m no artist, but over time I think I’ve become better at this sort of thing which allows me to use figures that in the early days I would have dismissed as being too difficult to deal with.

Hence this post where I show off the original and my reconstruction. The next step, of course, was to erase the entire background which by now is easy enough, before inserting him into a new cover.

Drag the slider below to reveal the original on the left and my reconstruction on the right.

The final version ends up being much smaller than that so some defects are hidden by the size reduction in the final image.

What do you think?
