Mash-Up #46

Twice a week I randomly generate two dates and then compare the titles I own from both of them, trying to find some covers that, with a little basic photoshopping, I can mash together, and then I force the results on you lovely people.

By the way, I admit to being HUGELY influenced by the wonderful Super-Team Family blog which has been doing this for years (and a lot better) on an almost daily basis.

Another Monday, another Crisis! This time Power Girl’s trying to prevent the death of Superman.

Power Girl and the Jurgens League of America – works for me!

  1. The Jurgens era JLA is a personal favorite of mine, but that’s probably more so because I was collecting his run as it was happening, having only bought a couple issues of the Giffen/Matteis era towards the end.
That being said, I don’t Power Girl making all that big of a difference in the fight against Doomsday. He was designed to only be beaten by Superman while causing his death at the same time. So yeah, good luck PG, but even your infamous boob window isn’t helping you in this one.

    1. Same here, I really liked the Jurgens run, even though the last couple of issues and the big reveal of the real Bloodwynd were something of a let-down. Destiny’s Hand is still one of my favourite stories from him, both in terms of writing and art.

      1. Agreed. Of course I also loved it for the appearance of the Satellite Era JLA (even if it was evil doppelgangers) and the returns of the Atom as well as Blue Beetle.
