Alex DeWitt, the original fridging victim, made a brief appearance as a Green Lantern in GREEN LANTERN: CIRCLE OF FIRE so it was nice to be able to use her here . . . even if it meant Batman despoiling her resting place.

I used to have that very team up issue and it was pretty good for what it was. I myself would’ve thought it interesting had these two gotten to live out a fairy tale ending for a few months as a couple until Alex was either killed or better, sent back to her world and continue being a GL there. I know that scenario reeks of fan-fiction, but it would’ve been interesting to see the kind of dynamic they’d have had as a couple with both being GL’s.

Yeah, that CIRCLE OF FIRE wasn’t bad, but it was a bit of a cop-out when the big bad (and all the other Lanterns) were revealed to be parts of Kyle’s memories/psyche. Just a hair’s breadth from “It was all a dream!”
