I actually wish these two had gotten more chances to interact back in the day. Since most of the Bat-family had no interest in training Spoiler, and Ted went thru that stretch where he was supposed to stop heroing because of his heart, maybe he could have played mentor.
Anyway, Natasha’s a spy, so she stabs people in the back all the time. She’ll get it over it.

Spoiler being mentored by Ted? Hadn’t thought of that, but it really makes sense. Shame we never got to see it.

But didn’t she try to kill him on of those team-up covers though? Maybe I’m misremembering. Spoiler as his sidekick is a very interesting choice, and one bound to probably aggravate Batman for encroaching & poaching on his territory.

You might be thinking of #294, their first meeting. There was the usual meet for the first time and fight, I’m sure, but they’d teamed up by the end.
