I read the issue of FIGHTING AMERICAN that I took this image from and at no point did I see his side-kick named – was that just a running joke, that the poor kid didn’t get a name?

Usually his sidekick was named Speedboy or Speed, but seeing as how I never read this version of FA, I couldn’t tell you why he never officially adopted the name.

I think it was just a running gag… but I can’t be sure.

I know nothing about Fighting American, so I will say his sidekicks had such a high attrition rate that he stopped bothering to learn their names.
