I only owned a small handful myself, but they were really well done for it being the early 90’s. I think a lot of that had to with Mark Waid & Bryan Augustyn, as well as the skill of all the other writers & artists that worked on that line. It ended way too soon, but then again back then it was a VERY competitive market, mostly because I think Impact was directing competing with Image comics, like every other company was, and Image was just too hot to beat at the time.

It’d be nice to see one or two trades collecting the whole run but I doubt that’ll ever happen what with licencing and whatever.

Pretty much yeah. Those legal issues wouldn’t be felt to be worth the hassle.
