Sometimes, things take a while. Sometimes, things are hard. Getting out of the Phantom Zone to confront Superman seems to be one of those things, because this is a call back almost six years in the making – because Superman and the Guardian sent the Punisher into the Zone way back in CRISIS ON EARTH-PRIME PRESENTS #93! Now that’s a call-back!

You’d think Frank would be grateful to Superman. All those criminals locked up in the Phantom Zone to kill, it’s like shooting fish in a barrel.
