But maybe, that’s exactly what The Phantom Stranger intended, as some sort of extended lesson about humility or arrogance he felt Batman needed to learn, for, um you know, reasons.
(Though if that was true, he needed to return in the late-90s/early 2000s for a serious refresher.)

It’s always nice to see Batman occasionally remember & acknowledge his Golden Age roots 😏
Speaking of random, “Learning to fly” by Tom Petty & “Pigs on the wing” by Pink Floyd instantly came to mind when reading this.
