It’s not often I get the opportunity to mash together two covers by the same artist, so this one’s a bit of a treat. And there’s a little Easter Egg in there for long-time readers as well.
Oh, and the line of text comes from one of my favourite songs by one of my favourite bands.
This cover’s even MORE interesting if you consider it where Diana finally confronts Hitman for coming to JLA membership tryouts just to see her naked before buggering off during Morrison’s JLA run. Always wish he’d or someone else would’ve followed up on that.
I’m seeing Tommy wearing a GL ring and what looks like Peacemaker’s dove symbol for cufflinks.
Also not sure about the song or band you’re referencing (what song is it & who’s the band?)
but those lyrics remind of the first verse from the band Mercy Playground’s song “Sex and Candy.”
[Verse 1]
“Hanging around, downtown by myself
And I had so much time to sit and think about myself
And then there she was, like double cherry pie
Yeah, there she was, like disco super-fly”

The whole Hitman/Wonder Woman thing got a follow up in the two part HITMAN/JLA miniseries by Garth Ennis, which also revisited the whole Bloodline parasite thing as well. Worth a read.
The Green Lantern ring is a call back to Mash-Up #36 (three and a half years ago!) but the cuff link is original.
The lyric is from The Misery Shows (Act II) by Trouble. I’m an old, unapologetic rocker at heart! đŸ˜€

Nothing wrong with that, nothing wrong with that at all.
