Untold Tales #927 Dr Doom vs Gen 13

Dr Doom does like to loom, doesn’t he? And this time, it’s the Gen 13 heroes who are in his sights.

    1. Me too. I know DC has tried to a few times to assimilate them into the DCU, but it just doesn’t seem right. I definitely continue to lament Jim Lee selling Wildstorm to DC because those characters just aren’t a good fit for that company.

      1. It’s been established a couple of times that they have their own world (Earth-50 if I remember right) so why not just leave them there, give them an imprint to publish self-contained stories in, then crossover with the main DCU as and when?

      2. I remember scouring the comicons, looking for a copy of the Gen 13 animated movie. I had hoped that with its release, it would increase Gen 13’s popularity, but from what I’ve read, it pretty much was a victim of inner-office politics, leading to it never being released. I did find a bootleg, though!

  1. Loom & perhaps Lear (albeit momentarily) towards the females of the group, in particular Fairchild, given she’s both a genius & a looker.

  2. Doom is no doubt aghast at what passes for fashion among the youth these days. After his Doombots finishing trouncing them, he’ll get them dolled up in the finest of Latverian Doomwear.
