Who better to make disappear than the Fadeaway Man? Seemed appropriate.

Another look at a cover that needed to get tidied up – I had to remove the mysterious “third angel” before I could replace them with a totally different character who, I can guarantee, won’t be a happy addition to Betty and Veronica’s world.

Before I could insert another character in this cover, I had to remove the mind-controlled, fetish-outfit-wearing Sue Storm which, thanks to the block colours (by which I mean no gradients or soft edges) it was fairly straightforward.
It always feels disrespectful when I remove the original artists’ credits (John Byrne and Jerry Ordway on the left by the blacked out bar code box) but at least I’ll put their names on the new cover once that’s done and published in August.
Here’s another look at a cover I’ve had to tidy up before using – I’ve removed the bad guy from the background (which was easy enough) but also had to create some of the cave/mechanical structures. I didn’t bother tidying up the very top of the image as that would be hidden by the UNTOLD TALES banner. Oh, and I’m repurposing that text box as well.

If you could predict which DC magic user’s going to end up spying on the X-Men, who would you choose?
