I know next to nothing about Captain Marvel, the character – for most of my super-hero fix, I’m a DC man through and through – but the poster and the accompanying trailer both look good.

Joker Phoenix
Sooooooooooo . . . you remember all the internet howling and screaming when the first look at Heath Ledger’s Joker appeared all those years ago?
Here’s our first look at Joaquin Phoenix as “Arthur” in the now filming Joker movie, presumably set before his transition into the Clown Prince of Crime.
Now maybe their going for a particular vibe here, but I saw that and the first thing I thought was the background was wrong . . .
I reserve judgement on the film until I see it but . . .

New Freedom Fighters Series Coming Soon!
Hooray!
There’s a brief article on Newsarama about a new Freedom Fighters series coming in December, written by Robert Venditti whose work I’ve enjoyed over the last few years on Green Lantern. And, even better, it’s set on Earth-10 / Earth-X from the Multiversity series so we get one of my favourite teams and the multiverse in one go.
Just a shame it’s a 12 issue miniseries as opposed to an ongoing, but I will take what I can get, thank you very much.

Because that whole “Password incomplete: would you like to add rider?” panel has bugged me for years. Seriously – what computer allows you to enter a password and then says “Oooooh, so close – go on, have another go, you’re almost right!”
