Twice a week I randomly generate two dates and then compare the titles I own from both of them, trying to find some covers that, with a little basic photoshopping, I can mash together, and then I force the results on you lovely people.
By the way, I admit to being HUGELY influenced by the wonderful Super-Team Family blog which has been doing this for years (and a lot better) on an almost daily basis.
Let’s face it: sooner or later, there had to be a Justice Society/Justice League crossover, didn’t there? I mean, they practically invented the whole thing.

Oh, wait – you thought I was going to talk about the other one?
So the new Aquaman film poster’s been released . . .
. . . and while I really, honestly hope that the film’s good, that poster just . . . you know . . . just didn’t work for me.
They’re clearly going for a “Hey, Aquaman’s king of the seas, he fear no creatures” sort of vibe but the difference in colour between Aquaman and the background, not to mention the clear cut between the rocks/coral he’s sitting on and the background just makes it look more than a little fake.
There’s just no real sense that he’s actually in the same water as those sharks and whales and things.
It’s almost like he’s . . . I don’t know . . . posing in front of an aquarium?
This is a genuine ad from 1977 where DC were touting stories “featuring the mightiest heroes of our time!”
I’ve blurred the list of names and the cover of the comic.
Before you click the read more link below, take a guess at which five heroes (because of course they’re all men, this was the 70s after all) will star in this comic. I’ll give you a clue – Superman wasn’t one of them.
