Here We Go Again

Are they not the most inspiring opening words ever?

Never mind “The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.

Forget “Call me Ishmael.

Pay no attention to “It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.

The opening line of Bloodbath #1 – “We don’t know where they’re from, or what they want . . . other than our spinal fluid.” – will surely go down in history as . . . well, as something.

Annotations for the two issue Bloodbath series that wraps up the Bloodlines event are now underway.

Please spare a thought for me, eh?

  1. Well, that is a pretty damn interesting quote that just kinda’ jumps out at you doesn’t it? Yes it reeks of the 90’s, but compared to some other groan-worthy dialogue/quotes from that era, this one’s not bad, and just boarders on being gleefully inappropriate for the kiddies;)

Have you read the rebooted version of Bloodlines yet?

    1. Yeah, it doesn’t exactly hide what it’s about, does it!

And yeah, read the Bloodlines mini from last year; it was okay but I thought it suffered from trying to go down the road of a horror story but still with the same superhero characters from first time around. Sure, they weren’t exactly the same but then why not just create new ones?

I’ll do a write up on that series once I’ve done the main one.
