Pop Star Spam

I’ve mentioned before about keeping an eye on the spam comments that get caught by the filter; most of them aren’t worth glancing at but this one caught my eye:

The content’s standard – most spam comments are trying to get me to monetise my blag by using some automatic tool for writing content – but that’s not what grabbed me.

In the WordPress dashboard, if I hover over the website address beneath the user name, I get a pop-up of that site, and here’s what it looks like:

Yep, Britney Spears is spamming me.

I feel so honoured!

(I haven’t been to that site and would recommend that you don’t either, just to be on the safe side.)

  1. Well, well, well….looks like you’re moving up in the blog world if you’ve snagged a Brittany Spears’ related blog. Of course it’d probably help if this was pre-K-Fed Brittany Spears, but any port in a storm right? ๐Ÿ˜‰


      1. I don’t know if her liking your stuff is the type of ringing endorsement you want;)
        But hey, a celebs a celeb these days….and she’s an actual REAL celeb to boot!

        Fun thought: Maybe if she had read your lego skits, she’d have found so delightful, it might’ve calmed her down enough to not have that breakdown and shave her head.
        Something to think about during dinner I suppose;)
