I’ll admit I don’t know a great deal about the shield other than he’s another stars and stripes type hero. Did DC ever do one of those? With the exception of General Glory from the Giffen/DeMatteis run on JLA, I mean?

Yeah, you ever hear of Impact Comics? DC published Archie comic heroes back in the earl y 90’s. Mark Waid worked on a few as did a few of other rising stars back that are now well-known pros. Google it.

Oh yeah; I think the Shield image on this one comes from one of the Impact covers. I just wondered if DC had ever done their own, home-grown stars and stripes character. Can’t think of one beyond General Glory.
