New Tales From The Dark Multiverse One Shots

I think I’ve made it clear I’m not a massive fan of the whole DARK NIGHTS: METAL thing that’s somehow still going on – it promised so much, to be a fun and bombastic run through the DCU and just turned into a mess of mad, half-baked ideas thrown into something that has just dragged on and on and on . . .

That said, there have been a few of these TALES FROM THE DARK MULTIVERSE one-shots and I’ve picked up the ones looking at INFINITE CRISIS and BLACKEST NIGHT and they weren’t bad; separated from the crossover/uber-event nonsense, they were sort of Elseworld looks at big events and, if you haven’t guessed by the picture above, DC are now going to look at another couple: WAR OF THE GODS and the granddaddy of them all, CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS.

Yeah, I’ll be picking those up.

Holy Diver, Batman!

No, this has nothing to do with Batman, but everything to do with Holy Diver, the classic 1983 album by the late, great Ronnie James Dio and which is being turned into a graphic novel out next year!

As Mrs Earth-Prime will attest, I have been a fan of Dio and the man’s ridiculous, fabulous lyrics for years and to see the first album by his own band adapted is (hopefully) going to be a dream come true.

Hurry up June 2021!

Summer Holiday

Mrs Earth-Prime and I are enjoying some time off. We’re not really going anywhere, what with the whole Covid-19 thing still ongoing, but apart from some scheduled Mash-Ups over the next couple of weeks, it’s going to be quiet around here.

Speak soon, people!

Back To Three Times A Week

I dropped the Mash-Ups to twice a week a couple of months ago to allow me more time to work on the annotations side of things. Then Mrs Earth-Prime and I decided to move house which meant all my comics being put in to storage. And then the whole virus lockdown thing started so we’re in limbo with no idea when we’ll move and I’ll be able to get my comics.

So with that in mind, it’s back to three times a week – Monday, Wednesday and Friday – for the Mash-Ups.
